Terms and Conditions

Pioneer Bank’s MyCard customized debit card service is subject to these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions supplement, but do not replace, the terms and conditions found in the Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement governing the use of your card. MyCard debit cards are available to consumer customers who currently have a Pioneer Bank Debit MasterCard ®.

  1. You agree that you have read and understand the Image Guidelines, and that you will only submit images that comply with the Image Guidelines.
  2. You agree to destroy your old debit card once you receive your Pioneer Bank MyCard debit card and hold Pioneer Bank harmless for any loss incurred as a result of not doing so.
  3. Your MyCard debit card remains the property of Pioneer Bank and you agree to immediately return it or destroy it, if asked, or if the card or accounts that the MyCard debit card belongs to is closed.
  4. You warrant to Pioneer Bank that:
    You are the owner of the image (e.g. it is a photo taken by you) or you have obtained express consent from the image’s owner to use the image on your card; and use of the image by Pioneer Bank will not infringe any other person’s rights, including intellectual property rights, in the image. Pioneer Bank may require evidence of the image owner’s consent or of your ownership of the image.
  5. You grant to Pioneer Bank or have obtained from the image owner the grant to a perpetual, non-transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, world-wide, irrevocable license to use the image and the data you provide to Pioneer Bank for the purpose of providing your customized card to you.
  6. You consent (or you will obtain consent from the image’s owner) to Pioneer Bank storing, modifying, copying or using the image. Pioneer Bank may also require evidence of this consent.
  7. All copyright and intellectual property rights in the MyCard debit card program vest in Pioneer Bank (excluding the image), and your participation in the program does not result in the transfer or license any of the Pioneer Bank or its third party supplier’s intellectual property rights to you unless otherwise expressly stated in your cardholder agreement. You will not reproduce any of Pioneer Bank’s or its third party supplier’s intellectual property (without express consent).
  8. You warrant that, as far as you are aware, the image does not contain any computer viruses.
  9. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Pioneer Bank, its affiliates, and MasterCard and its and their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents, members, contractors, and representatives harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses of any nature whatever (including, without limitation, attorney's fees) that may arise from the issuance, storage, modification, copying or use of the image submitted by you, including (without limitation) any and all claims alleging intellectual property rights, infringement including but not limited to trademark, copyright or patent infringement, and/or the violation of a right of privacy or publicity or any other right.
  10. Pioneer Bank is not responsible for poor-quality images or images poorly positioned on the MyCard debut card template. Images and copies thereof shall not be returned to you for any reason.
  11. By creating a MyCard debit card, you give Pioneer Bank permission to use the photograph on the card. You also acknowledge that Pioneer Bank is free of risk of any loss, damages, liability, or costs should any be incurred directly or indirectly by the use of the photograph.
  12. Rejected images, superseded images, images from canceled customized cards, accepted images, and copies thereof, may be stored for any period of time, and may be purged at any time, that Pioneer Bank may choose in its sole discretion.
  13. Fee: There is a $9.95 fee for each MyCard debit card requested.  The MyCard debit card fee also applies to replacement and renewal cards. The MyCard debit card fee is subject to change at any time. The fee will be deducted from the primary checking account designated on your debit card.  The fee will be deducted from your account within 2 business days after you receive your confirmation email that your card design was approved.
  14. Pioneer Bank reserves the right to review and not accept or use any image you submit, or to refuse to issue a MyCard personalized debit card.

 Frequently Asked Questions

What is a MyCard debit card?
MyCard is a debit card that you design.  Utilizing our online design tool, you submit an image, place it on a card design template, make adjustments as necessary, and submit.  All images submitted must comply with Pioneer Bank’s Image Guidelines.   

Who qualifies for a MyCard debit card?
All Pioneer Bank customers who have or are eligible for a Pioneer consumer debit card may request a MyCard debit card.

Will my debit card number change?
No, your card number will remain the same.

Will my Personal Identification Number (PIN) change?
No, your PIN will remain the same.

Can I customize my Pioneer Bank business debit card?
No, at this time you can only customize a consumer debit card.

How much does it cost?
There is a standard fee of $9.95 per card.  The fee will be deducted from your checking account linked to your MyCard debit card.  This is not a monthly fee.

How many times can the image on my card be changed?
The image can be changed as many times as you would like however, the MyCard debit card fee applies to each card ordered.

Do I need special software to design my MyCard debit card?
The design tool utilizes Flash Player.  Please ensure that you have the most current version of Adobe Flash Player.

How do I design my card?
Card customization is easy; simply follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the design link on our home page.
  2. Select an image from our gallery or upload an image from your computer, external drive, disk, etc.
  3. Click the ‘browse’ button on the design tool to locate the image on your computer.
  4. When you locate your image, select it then click on the ‘Upload’ button on the design tool.
  5. The image will populate into the template.
  6. Customize the look of your card by enlarging, cropping or rotating.
  7. Once you are satisfied with the look of your card, hit the ‘next’ button.
  8. Complete the ’Details’ page with the required information, then click ‘Submit’ where you will see a ‘Thank You’ page with additional information.

What format does the digital photo need to be in?
The photo needs to be a digital photo in .jpeg or .bmp format. The image needs to be at least 840x840 pixels and at least 50KB (kilobytes) in size, not to exceed 10MB (megabytes).

Does Pioneer Bank improve the quality of the image I provide?
No modifications to your image will be made. The final version that you submit is what will be produced. Please make sure that you are happy with the placement of your image on the card before submitting.

How do I convert a physical photo into a digital photo?
You will need to convert a physical photo into a digital photo to utilize MyCard. If you take a physical photo to a photo processing facility, they should be able to scan the photo for you and put it on a disk. Remember, the image needs to be saved in either .jpeg or .bmp formats.

How does my photo get approved?
Every submitted image is reviewed for compliance with Pioneer Bank’s Image Guidelines.  Each image also must follow the MasterCard Issuing Guidelines as set by MasterCard International. Click here for Image Guidelines.

What images are not acceptable?
Please review our Image Guidelines for an explanation of what is an acceptable photo submission. Pioneer Bank reserves the right to reject any image we believe violates our Image Guidelines. If an image is rejected, you will be notified by e-mail within two business days. If your image has been rejected, you may submit a new image.

How will I know if my image is accepted or rejected?
You will receive an e-mail within two business days, telling you if your image was rejected or approved.

What can I do to make sure my MyCard debit card turns out as good as possible?
Choose a clear, sharply focused image, preferably taken at a high resolution. You can also use photo editing software to enhance your photo prior to uploading it; however, it is not mandatory.

What happens when my card expires?
If your MyCard debit card expires, a new card will be sent with the same image as your most recent card.  Please Note: If you change your design within 60 days of expiration, it is possible that you will receive two cards: one with the old design, and one with the new design. If this happens, simply destroy the card you no longer wish to use.

How will I receive my personalized card?
Your new card will be mailed to you via the United States Postal Service.

How long will it take to receive my card?
After your image has been submitted and approved by Pioneer Bank, you can expect to receive your card within 7-10 business days.

What if my card is lost or stolen?
If your card is lost or stolen, please call us immediately at 800-528-2273. When you request that a new card be issued, a new card will be ordered with the same image as your previous card.  

Will my existing card work until my new MyCard debit card arrives?
Yes, your existing card will continue to work until you activate your new MyCard debut card. Please destroy your old card once the new card is activated.

Will any financial or personal information be transferred to the design service?
No, we do not transfer or share any of your financial or personal information with the design service utilized for MyCard debit card.

What should I do when I receive my MyCard debit card?
When you receive your new MyCard debit card please call the number on the card to activate it.  If you converted an existing debit card to a MyCard debit card, then it is important that you destroy your old card as soon as you receive your MyCard debit card. Please note that until you destroy your old card, you are liable for the use of both cards, in accordance with the relevant terms and conditions of the contract regulating their use.
